About the Artist:

Born and raised in a Marine Corps family, Marvin Perry Mann's artistic journey began with a passion for storytelling sparked by comic books and boyhood adventure tales. Early experimentation with charcoal, pastel, and oil painting gave way to a career in comics, including periodicals, web comics, and graphic novels, while also exploring furniture design and 3D modeling.

Years later, Mann returned to oil painting, blending his loose, energetic drawing style with the precision of realist figure painting. During the pandemic, he shifted focus to landscapes, evolving rapidly from Impressionism to expressive abstraction. By 2023, he embraced non-representational abstraction, often working in series, balancing formal exploration with narrative depth.
